ASA Leaders, Lecturers and Tour Managers

Each ASA itinerary differentiates between tour lecturers, guest lecturers, group leaders and tour managers. Tour lecturers travel with your group to address the tour's education program. Guest lecturers' contributions vary from one or two lectures and/or site visits to joining you to teach for a number of days. Tour managers are primarily concerned with the practical logistics and your well-being. Group leaders have a dual role of lecturing while at the same time being responsible for the practical logistics. At times, leaders will share teaching and logistical roles. Some ASA personnel change roles; you may find, on reading a particular itinerary, that someone you've hitherto known as a 'tour lecturer' has become 'group leader' for that tour. In some countries, tours also have local tour managers whose role is purely logistical. |
